Driving Empire is a free driving experience for Roblox created by Empire Games. The game is essentially a driving simulator, although, with the presence of jobs and roles, there is an argument for this being a life simulator. The game is increasingly popular and has seen over 437 million players in total since its launch in 2019. Driving Empire has also been favorited by over 1.1 million people, proving yet again how popular the experience is.
Life simulators are one of the most popular genres of experiences on Roblox. However, the platform has so much to offer other than that. Another popular genre is that of the tycoon games. These see you start with an income generator and a small plot of land that you’ll need to develop over time. Two of the most compelling tycoon games are Bakon Tycoon and Jailbreak Tycoon 2 Player.
Choices abound
The effectiveness of any driving simulator, either on or off of Roblox, can be determined by three factors; the complexity of its roads, the mechanics that govern its cars, and the abundance of choice when it comes to those cars. As concerns all of these prime factors, Driving Empire excels.
Given the superior quality of the meshes for the various vehicles, it’s even more impressive how many vehicles the developers have chosen to include - with more added in each update.
Authentic driving experience
The only way the driving experience in Driving Empire could be any more authentic is if it took place in the cabin of a real car on a real road. The cars are all incredibly responsive and move like you’d expect cars of their varying classes to perform.
There are distinct differences between how vehicles perform, depending on their real-world equivalents’ power output, top speed, and level of comfort. The roads themselves are also incredibly detailed, as is the rest of the environment.
Unfinished
As suggested by the game’s description, Driving Empire is still a work in progress. This is immediately noticeable upon driving around for a while. However, the road network is complex and extensive enough as is that the game doesn’t feel unplayable.
The level of detail that the developers have achieved and are further striving for makes the idea of an expansion even more exciting. Whatever they plan on adding to the game, if done as well as the rest of the game has been, will be incredible and a wonder to behold within the confines of Roblox.
